500T Silos at NEOM

The Masheed Trading & Transport Co - 9 x 500T Cement Silos project showcases RICO's expertise in refurbishment, civil works, and electromechanical commissioning. This project involved three distinct phases:

1. Refurbishment of Silos

‍
The silos were disassembled, and full refurbishment was carried out, including:

• Sandblasting and repainting the silo bodies with UV-protective coatings for durability and aesthetics.
• Repair and refurbishment of damaged components such as screw conveyors and filters.
• Cleaning and preparation of internal and external components to ensure full functionality​​.

2. Installation at NEOM

‍
The project entailed:

• Transporting silos from Makkah to NEOM in a safe and timely manner using low-bed trucks.
• Execution of civil works, including excavation, reinforced concrete foundations, and backfilling, ensuring the structural integrity of the silos​​.
• Erection of the silos on-site with secure anchoring and alignment​​.

3. Commissioning

The silos were made fully operational, including:
‍

• Installation of all electromechanical components such as control panels, level indicators, aeration pads, solenoid valves, compressors, and air dryers.
• Ensuring seamless integration of all systems for full operational capacity​​.

RICO utilized 3D visualization to provide the client with a detailed project layout before execution. These renders offered a clear understanding of the project scope and installation​.
