RICO played a crucial role in constructing Feeder Station-5, a vital component of the Haramain High-Speed Railway. The feeder station is responsible for providing uninterrupted power supply and supporting the railway's high-speed operations. Our expertise in civil, electrical, and electromechanical engineering ensured the successful execution of this project to meet the railway's demanding requirements.
Scope of Work:
- Civil Works:
- Construction of reinforced concrete foundations, retaining walls, and block structures.
- Installation of cable trenches, duct banks, and reinforced access pathways for maintenance vehicles.
- Application of waterproofing systems and durable external finishes for weather resistance.
- Structural and Architectural Work:
- Erection of structural steel elements for feeder station housing.
- High-quality interior finishes, including fire-rated walls, suspended ceilings, and anti-static flooring systems.
- Electromechanical Systems:
- Installation of switchgear, transformers, and other high-voltage equipment necessary to power the railway.
- Integration of advanced cooling and ventilation systems to ensure optimal performance of the electrical components.
- Electrical Systems:
- Design and installation of a power distribution system, including medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) cabling.
- Connection of the feeder station to the primary grid and backup power systems to ensure redundancy.
- Installation of lighting, earthing, and surge protection systems to maintain safety and reliability.
- Testing and Commissioning:
- Comprehensive testing of all electrical and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- On-site commissioning to verify the seamless integration of power supply systems with the railway network.
